Acterra Group traces its roots back to 1958, when the company began as a gas station equipment and service enterprise— Petroleum Equipment Services (PES). Over more than six decades, that single-location business grew into a multi-faceted fuel-systems organization, providing equipment, consulting, and specialized services to the fuel, chemical, renewable energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and fleet industries, as well as government applications.
That growth took the company well beyond its original footprint — from offices across the Midwest and Colorado to today’s operations spanning Iowa, Alabama, Texas, Wyoming, Georgia, and Colorado, with headquarters in Marion, Iowa and a federal services office in Rogersville, Alabama. The company’s project history even extends overseas, with work completed for clients in Korea, Jamaica, Egypt, and the Middle East.
Through all of that growth, Acterra has remained a full-service fuel-systems integrator, installer, and service provider — handling repair and maintenance for fueling systems, lubrication equipment, and storage tank systems, and installing equipment for fuel management, tank monitoring, leak detection, and lubrication. The company is also a distributor for many OEMs across the petroleum equipment market — the foundation of today’s Line Card.

Acterra’s staff bring a combined 250-plus years of experience to client projects. Technicians are factory trained on the latest industry equipment and certified on major fuel management systems — including FuelMaster, Gasboy, PIUSI, OPW, and GIR — as well as tank gauge and monitoring systems from Veeder-Root, Morrison, OPW, and Franklin Fueling.
Acterra Group is a member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI), the trade association representing the petroleum equipment and fuel-dispensing industry, and the Steel Tank Institute (STI), the leading standards-development organization for steel storage tanks.
