BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Acterra Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and expanding our presence across key markets.

As a leader in construction, manufacturing, and commercial services, Acterra Group provides innovative solutions to commercial, federal, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in business development to align with Acterra’s strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000 base + Commission. *Commission potential could be as high as 50%-100% of base, though the sky is the limit!

Travel requirements for this position will average approximately 50%, with the potential for higher frequency at times. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Strategy: Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to develop and execute strategic business development plans.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, focusing on building trust and understanding their needs.
  • Opportunity Identification: Generate leads, qualify prospects, and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities across commercial, federal, and industrial sectors.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals, presentations, and bids that address client requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and project teams to ensure a seamless handoff and successful project execution.
  • Sales Targets & Reporting: Meet or exceed established revenue goals and provide regular updates on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Brand Representation: Represent Acterra Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and client engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically to achieve goals.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction and manufacturing software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
