Industrial Painter/Sandblaster Needed!

The Acterra Group is looking for candidates to perform Painting and Sandblasting in our manufacturing division. The position will work under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager. Work includes prep, prime, paints, & decals on tanks in a manner which will ensure proper application per brand specifications. Maintenance of sandblast and painting equipment will be required. 

The Painter / Sandblaster must be an effective team player and driven operations person who can assist with operations growth, maintain key operational procedures, create new, and continually improve existing, procedures, and ensure day-to-day manufacturing excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sandblast, prep, prime, paints, & decals on tanks in a manner which will ensure proper application per brand specifications & according to department/Company standards.
  • Operate sandblaster and painting equipment in a safe and appropriate manner which will ensure proper application.
  • Operates company skid loaders and forklift trucks to move tanks and parts to various locations in shop and yard.
  • Fills out paperwork and job cards involved with each process of production according to set procedures.
  • Checks and repairs any painting and liners on tanks as per the supervisor’s review and approval if needed.
  • Ensures responsibility for the maintenance of all equipment, tools and fixtures in assigned area.
  • Checks jobs after completion to ensure customer and company quality requirements are being maintained.
  • Anticipates material requirements and notifies supervisor in order to minimize production delays.
  • Maintains normal production standards, schedules as established by the department/Company.
  • Maintains equipment and work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  • Demonstrates appropriate safety standards and procedures for assigned area and Company.
  • Actively participates in safety policies, training and implementations.
  • Performs maintenance and cleaning activities.
  • Works closely with Quality department to establish floor procedures and specific milestones.
  • Ability to demonstrate our company values in everyday work interactions.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED, Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience
  • Three to five years of experience in an industrial painting environment with experience sandblasting to different profiles and painting to metal.
